Lancashire have secured the IPL partner they wanted to run Manchester Originals as a joint venture, with Sanjiv Goenka's RPSG Group submitting the highest bid for a stake in the Hundred franchise on Monday.

Sanjiv Goenka's RPSG Group, the owners of Indian Premier League side Lucknow Super Giants, on Monday won the race to partner Lancashire to run The Hundred franchise, Manchester Originals.RPSG Group came up with the highest bid to secure a 49 per cent stake in the franchise,

The Hundred is a short-form professional cricket league in the UK, organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), where each team faces 100 balls.

The RPSG Group secured a 49 per cent stake in the Manchester-based franchise with the highest bid, reportedly worth £116 million.

RPSG Group, which had made an unsuccessful bid for London Spirit earlier, finally secured a stake in the Manchester-based Hundred side reportedly for around 116 million pounds

The RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group has acquired a 70 percent stake in the Manchester Originals cricket franchise for approximately 75 million pounds. This transaction marks the first time a majority stake has been bought in a Hundred franchise.
