Jul 25, 2020 · Jerry West is known as “The Logo” for a reason. The NBA brand is defined by a silhouette based on the legendary West from his playing days, first incorporated in 1969 while he was still balling for the Los Angeles Lakers.

A few months after WPS folded in 2012, a new women's soccer league had once again formed, with the name National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). Its first season was held on 2013, with 9 teams formed. The league currently runs today.

Jul 1, 2021 · – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced today it has begun a rebranding process to its visual identity to be unveiled later this year. The NWSL tapped Chicago-based, award-winning creative agency Soulsight to lead the initiative, which will include the creation of a new logo with global appeal.

The NWSL became the first U.S. professional women's soccer league to reach nine teams with the addition of Houston Dash, backed by Major League Soccer (MLS) team Houston Dynamo, in 2014; expansion interest, particularly from MLS and USL teams, has continued.

The new league logo is appropriately red, white and blue and features the silhouette of a female soccer player about to strike a shot. With the confirmation of the league name and logo, the National Women’s Soccer League has also launched its official pages on Facebook and Twitter.
