A 29-acre park on Detroit's southwest riverfront, at the foot of West Grand Boulevard and west of the Ambassador Bridge In 2015 the City created a new master plan for the park and began an extensive renovation project of the entire park.

The City is thrilled to be able to turn this cherished but deteriorated riverfront space in southwest Detroit into a world class park for all residents and future generations to enjoy.

Now complete, Riverside Park provides new and exciting recreational amenities to nearby residents and the community. Phases 3 and 4 expanded the existing southwest boundary of the park, added close to five acres of public park space, and increased the river frontage and access for shore fishing.

As part of the City of Detroit General Services Department’s (GSD) ongoing transformation of the park to support active recreation, family picnicking, and daily access to open space, InToto designed a new pavilion to serve as a community connector and a hub of activity for the expansive park.
