Phil Mitchell is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Steve McFadden. He was introduced to the soap opera on 20 February 1990 and was followed by his brother, Grant , sister, Sam (Danniella Westbrook/Kim Medcalf) and mother, Peggy (Jo Warne/Barbara Windsor).

Philip James "Phil" Mitchell is the eldest son of Eric and Peggy Mitchell. He is also the older brother of Grant and Sam Mitchell and the father of Ben, Louise, Raymond and Albie, as well as the adoptive father of Dennis Rickman Jr.
