Apr 20, 2018 · The Mountaineers is a Western Washington-based organization that has had a major impact on outdoor recreation and wilderness preservation in the state. Started in Seattle in 1906 primarily as a mountain-climbing, hiking, and social club, its members -- men and women -- were first to reach the top of many peaks in the Olympic and Cascade ranges.

The Mountaineers has Outdoors Centers throughout Western Washington. Our lodges, cabins, and campuses support courses by offering overnight accommodations for students, and are ski and weekend getaway destinations.
