DEMAREST - Needing a win to secure its spot in the North 1, Group 3 state sectional tournament, it could have been a stressful night for the Ramapo wrestling team as it went on the road to take on fellow state tournament hopeful Northern Valley/Demarest.

TENAFLY - St. Joseph Regional has barely been whole all season. A combination of injuries, illness and transfer waiting periods have left the Green Knights struggling to fill uniforms and they played a couple of games earlier this season with just seven available players.

RAMSEY - Being in a community that supports and nurtures soccer players from a young age has its advantage and its drawbacks. Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes have been turning out high-level players for the better part of 30 years now and have kept the Ramapo boys and girls soccer teams in the top tier on a state wide level for decades.

BLOOMFIELD - Waldwick is a Group 1 boys soccer powerhouse. This season marked the eighth straight year that the Warriors earned a spot in the state sectional final and they have now won seven state sectional titles since 2011.

ALLENDALE - Coming into this season, Northern Highlands had modest expectations. Just to be in the mix for a league title, to make a representative showing in the Bergen County Tournament, and make a run at a section title.
