Taiwan’s Vice President William Lai attended a banquet thrown by the Taiwanese diaspora living in the United States Sunday, August 13, during his two-day visit to stopover in New York City. During his speech at the banquet, he thanked the Taiwanese-American community who that has been supporting Taiwan. Lai was in New York for just about a day before heading on to Paraguay Sunday.
